SimpleKraft :: Screen Printing

SimpleKraftJoin SimpleKraft for a live demonstration of the hobby screen-printing process from start to finish.

At this hour-long demo, you will learn the basics using a SimpleKraft Screen-Printing Kit including what it takes to make your own frame.

The SimpleKraft Screen-Printing Kit provides all the items needed to introduce you to screen-printing, including a hand stretched, photo sensitized frame ready for your very own image.

Together we will:

  • Build a frame for screen-printing (including what materials you will need)
  • Apply photo emulsion to a hand stretched frame
  • Design a simple image
  • Transfer your image to a screen
  • Screen-print on various items

Creation Station Bag Demo

Repurposed fabric samples have been fashioned into a tote bag that you will have fun embellishing with recycled and found materials. 

Joy will teach you the simple technique that she used to create your bag and share ideas on the many items you can repurpose into totes and purses.  To complete your bag at home you will need basic sewing skills and a sewing machine to attach the handles.  An instruction sheet will be included.

Creation Station Pins DemoYou can create great jewelry and/or little works of art using microscope slides and bottle caps.  Using bits and pieces of repurposed, found and recycled materials you will make 2 pins to wear home!
