Attention, shop owners and buyers!

We are adding a new side event to our Summer Show this year, just for you!

Feedback from past shows has shown us that buyers who attend UCU to look for new wholesale accounts are not able to speak to the vendors one-on-one, as the shows can get very crowded and hectic, and they don't want to interrupt a sale for the vendor.  This dedicated wholesaling event will be a great opportunity for you as a shop owner to be able to talk to vendors directly, in a relaxed environment dedicated just to you.  Plus, Trophy Cupcakes will be sponsoring the event, so you'll have yummy drinks and treats to nosh on as well!

What people are saying about the Urban Craft Uprising...

From our vendors:

"We heart Urban Craft Uprising, it's one of our favorite/most profitable shows. The organizers do an amazing job communicating, providing volunteers to watch the booth when bathroom breaks are necessary, and they get tons of people through those doors. It's a big trip for us from NC, but those Northern West Coasters never get to see our product at shows, so it's totally worth the cost if you think about the exposure alone. Plus, Seattle is *so* great, people want & love to buy handmade there, and it shows in our sales. Go UCU!"
- Elijah & Rhonda of Figs and Ginger

"Would you believe that I am still counting down the days until the next Urban Craft Uprising? It's literally in the back of my mind -- every single day. I don't know if I can put my finger on it -- but there's just something about that show -- something aside from the piles of money -- that really just lifts my spirits. Maybe it's 10,000 people all tramping through the Seattle Center to get to a huge room filled with handmade crafts? Maybe there's something about that that just makes me like people in general a little more. Yes, it's true. I'm saying the UCU is good for humanity. And it is."
- Rosalie Gale from Ugly Baby

UCU is my FAVORITE craft show. I have looked forward to it each year as much as the holidays. Now that there is a summer show too it is just amazing! Last year Nicky and I were married on July 31st and I kid you not I was up the next morning loading in for the summer show. There is so much to love....a huge craft show...variety...and everyone has all their new creations out. My mom even planned her 2008 winter trip out to coincide with the show because she had heard so much about it!"
- Jesse and Nicky of Estrella Soaps

"This show runs so supremely smoothly, it is a pleasure to participate. (and I do up to 15 shows ayear, this being the ONLY one I do in Seattle anymore)."
- Erica, Seattle, WA

"This year's UCU was our best show OF ALL TIME. We've been doing craft shows and eventsin Seattle since 2007, but this one really took the cake. We were thrilled with the response, the friendliness of the customers, and the overall helpfulness of the staff and volunteers. I thoughthe fresh set of eyes on logistics really paid off - opening up the hall made a HUGE difference, and everyone seemed much more comfortable and happy in the end. I had initially been nervousabout being in the back row with 8 other bath and beauty companies between us and the door, but it turned out I was worried over nothing!"
- Sweet Anthem Handmade Perfumes

It was my first big craft show and UCU was a GREAT experience - both the organization of the show as well as the customers it brought in :)
- Yingzi, Seattle, WA

I have really loved being part of the last two shows.  It has been a source of great inspiration and an honor to be part of such a talented group of people. The quality and creativity present has blown my mind every time!
- Angela @ Humperdinck Bellingham, WA

UCU is the only show that we do. We love it, and we appreciate all the hard work that you ladies do to make it so awesome. Best. Show. EVER!
- Melissa, Seattle, WA

A big thank you to all those involved that work so hard to bring us such a wonderful show! I truly appreciate everything you guys do! This is still the best show around and I am always honored when I have a booth. Thanks for providing us with something so special that this community so deeply needs!
- Sara, Seattle, WA

From Our Fans

"It is a good feeling to support independent vendors and know my money is staying in the community. With so many small businesses falling out over the last few years, it is refreshing tosee so many "mom n pop" type business in one place. Thanks for making UCU happen!"
Vinny, Tacoma, WA

"Always look forward to UCU shows! Love to see fun new creations and what seems to betrending. I often dream of participating as a crafter/artist at UCU!"

"5 Stars and then some, and then some more for this event! I can honestly say I have never been to a craft event including holiday bazzars (and I've been to many over the many years) that included quality crafts, unique items, cute display booths and a variety of items!"
Sandie L., Seattle, WA

"So much cute stuff! I wanted to buy it all! These are items that you will NEVER see in stores... unless it's a little boutique shop.. maybe. They are creative, unique, and handmade with love. Yes, the prices are going to be more expensive than the mass-manufactured items you can buy at department store, but these are *special*."
Jennifer L., Bellevue, WA

I LOVE the swag bags!  Please continue to offer them!  This was my first UCU event, and I am planning to attend the holiday show as well!  I hope there are swag bags for the holiday show, too!  I will be attending UCU every year from now on :)  Getting up early was WELL WORTH IT!
