Tell us bit about yourself, your company.
C&C: We are Constellation & Co., the husband and wife team of Brad and Sara McNally. Together we create elegant, vintage inspired design with personality. We specialize in letterpress printed ephemera, from our line of letterpress greeting cards (printed using original vintage wood type & imagery) to completely custom wedding suites.
When you were young, what did you want to be when you grew up?
C&C: Sara wanted to be both a detective and a nun (but spent a lot of time drawing typefaces on legal pads instead), and Brad aspired to have a big beard (success!).
Is there a certain person, place or object you draw inspiration from?
C&C: We draw inspiration from everywhere! We love antiques and vintage ephemera, but are also greatly inspired by music, photography, interior design, nature - art of all kinds!
If you had no boundaries: money, time, space, support, etc. what dream project would you pursue?
C&C: Constellation & Co. is our dream! We first daydreamed of having our own company while dating in college, and now as "grown-ups," we're incredibly happy to be living that dream. If we had all the money in the world, we'd just do it bigger! (And probably buy more printing presses than is practical.)
What’s your favorite thing to do to kill time? Any secret Internet time wasters, guilty pleasures?
C&C: We've got all kinds of them! Pinterest is a big one for Sara, and Brad really digs Svpply. Lately, we've both been watching a lot of Doctor Who.
Where do you like to go when you just want to get away? A beach, a mall, a market? What’s your favorite type of spot to go unwind.
C&C: Anywhere we can take a good long walk and take in our beautiful northwest.
If you only had one more meal to eat on this world what would it be? (It can be several courses)
C&C: Can't say for sure, but bacon would be involved.
What do you love about most UCU’s Summer Show?
C&C: This is our first show as vendors, but have attended in the past - and (as we keep telling people) this isn't your grandma's craft show!
