Author Interview and Giveaway- Cakespy
Posted by on November 20, 2011

Tell our readers a little bit about yourself and your work.
Oh, hi. My name is Jessie Oleson but I am best known as CakeSpy. I am a triple threat: writer-illustrator-baker. I will be selling artwork featuring my popular anthropomorphic baked good characters as well as my brand new recipe book, featuring totally sweet recipes and tons of my awesome illustrations. Check me out at CakeSpy.com and CakeSpyshop.com!
In case anyone hasn't heard of your book, can you give a quick summary?
This book is a minefield of magic. It's a collection of my awesomest and most over-the-top desserts (S'moreos, Cadbury Creme Eggs Benedict, for instance) and chock full of my adorable illustrations. It has many unicorn illustrations.
What inspired you to write your new book?
My desire to make the entire world about 20 pounds fatter.
What are some sources of inspiration for your work?
My best inspiration comes to me when I am traveling the country and visiting bakeries. It inspires me visually, creatively, and as a bonus, it also leaves me feeling fat and happy.
If you could be any dessert, what would it be?
I'd be something really healthy and sugar-free, because then nobody would want to eat me and I could remain ALIVE!
Want to win a copy of Jessie's awesome new book? Leave a comment here. The winner will be picked before the show and you can pick up your prize at the show.
