Swag 101

If you have vended with us before, or attended UCU in the past, you've seen the lines that form before the doors open to get into the show -- and the reason for this is our awesome swag bags!  The swag bags are given to the first 100 fans through the doors each day, and are filled with all sorts of goodies from you, our vendors!

Not only does contributing to these swag bags help keep our fans stoked about the show and build excitement ahead of time, but it's a great marketing tool for you, a way to draw more attention to your business and booth at the show.

Swag bag contributions are due on November 3rd.  All swag should be sent or hand-delivered to Schmancy (1932 2nd ave  Seattle, WA 98101).  If you are hand-delivering, Schmancy is open Tuesday through Saturday 11-6.  If you need to come by after hours, please leave your items at the Moore Hotel at the front desk, and Make sure your package is clearly marked that it is swag for Schmancy. 

So what's appropriate to contribute as swag?  A sample of your merchandise that represents the kinds of goods you will be selling at your booth.  This can be as many or as few things as you'd like, as long as the total retail value equals $25 or more

 

Here are a few things that, when contributed alone*, do not meet the $25 swag minimum:

  • business cards
  • buttons with your logo or trademark
  • stickers with your logo or trademark
  • postcards with your logo or trademark
  • magnets with your logo or trademark
  • coupons

* Business cards, stickers, logo buttons and coupons are OK when they accompany actual swag items. (For example, if you make jewelry, send a pair of earrings, and 100 coupons. If you make plush, send a stuffed toy and 50 buttons.)

 

Simply put:

$25 of actual merchandise = required minimum swag contribution

$25 of actual merchandise + any additional merchandise/promo items you want = awesome

 
If you do not wish to send items, you will be invoiced $25. 
This alternative swag option allows us to purchase other fun goodies and craft supplies to add to the bags so they remain just as awesome! 

**Food Vendors:
We realize that food swag donated a month in advance is less than ideal.  We will collect your swag on Friday or Saturday morning, during load-in.
