We are a small handmade bag manufacturer; our collection of waxed canvas and leather bags and other goods are designed for men and women. Handcrafted from materials mostly sourced in the US, each item created in our Ft. Lauderdale studio.
The story behind our business is a simple one – running through the airport trying to catch a connecting flight, the strap to my laptop bag broke. After searching for a new bag and not finding one that wasn’t cheaply constructed or made in the US, I thought I could do better. In college, I had brought a refurbished sewing machine. It was packed away and forgotten, until one day I decided to make a bag that was durable and well-constructed, and 1820 Bag Co was born.
