joeyfivecents is a handmade jewelry & accessories line by Susan Forker that features original vintage paper imagery & resin, mixed metals and vintage findings. I live and work in a Civil War era farmhouse and barn in Bucks County, PA that provides a daily dose of history and creative curiosity. Many of my materials are sourced from local flea markets and I thrive on that connection in my work along with the concept of repurposing something deemed ‘not useful’ or relevant anymore. Every ‘joey’ design honors the stories of the original materials used but presents a new narrative that touches on abstraction and the natural world while emphasizing reuse and eco-fashion.
