Hi! My name is Lily and I’m the owner/ maker/ everything-er of Ida Loves Dresses @idalovesdresses_handmade. I mostly make kids clothing, but some days I just stare at all my fabric.
My inspirations come from all over. Often it’s a great color combination; sometimes i hear what the new cool animal is (if you’re often around children, you’ll discover animals go in and out of popularity; I cannot explain why this is, but I listen to the kids and trust them! Axolotls were hot a few years ago; now it’s capybaras, if you were wondering)
I love having a colorful booth that draws in families with kids of all genders, and hopefully makes them feel comfortable and supported. At every market, I display a sweet sign made by my friend @apridotdraws which reads “this is a safe space”; it is hugely important to me to be a visible supporter of LGBTQIA+ families and kiddos.
I have been making sweaters from some lovely reversible Japanese textiles. This will be my first time bringing them to Edmonds!
