As a Pacific Northwest woodworker @mcnerneymark, I am humbled by the opportunity to reveal gifts of nature through purposeful artistic designs that honor the profound beauty of wood. I let the piece guide my every tool stroke with each project. Every intricately repurposed, locally sourced tree is an expression of my deep reverence for the craftsmanship present in the natural world. In my creative process, I strive to establish a harmonious connection between the beauty of wood and the human experience, a bridge that speaks to the universal language of wonder and awe. The rugged landscapes of the PNW serve as an ever-flowing inspiration, offering glimpses of God’s artistry that I endeavor to reveal in each piece. Every knot, grain pattern, and imperfection become a part of my collaborative work, capturing stories of time, and symbolizing the resilience of both nature and humanity. With each piece, I seek to ignite an emotive response in those who engage with my art. I invite them to contemplate the splendor of creation and their place within it. Through my work, I hope to remind viewers of the connection between the natural world and the human experience, cultivating a sense of appreciation, awe, and spiritual association to the divine presence that surrounds us all.

When one of my pieces makes a deep connection with a customer. I once made a resin infused wood bowl that a customer saw, through pareidolia, an ultrasound image of a baby in. She was looking for something to give her daughter, who had been trying to get pregnant for a long time, and had just found out she was pregnant.
Every hand crafted Wood item is original and new, by definition
My sales support my ability to create beautiful work, but my passion for revealing the beauty within wood, and sharing it’s story with the community around me is what motivates me.
